Humans of our Prisons

People who have offended are usually survivors themselves but we don’t often hear their stories.

We are working with the Howard League Canterbury to gather stories from people who have been in prison, through the courts, through Probation, or have any other connection with the criminal justice system in New Zealand. The stories will then be published on a website, on social media, and in print, as part of a larger storytelling project called Humans of Aotearoa.

If you or someone you know has been in prison, or on another sentence like an anklet, supervision, or PD, The Howard League would love to hear from you.
